Terms of Service

Effective September 13, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and f8dr. By using f8dr, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

f8dris a tool for making, saving and sharing beats. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we provide the service on an “as available” basis.

Your account

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).

Your content

You keep ownership of the beats, sounds and instruments you create. By using f8dr you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as needed to run the service — for example, to save your beats, stream their audio, and show public beats or profiles.

You're responsible for what you upload. You represent that you have the rights to any audio you record or upload, and that it doesn't infringe others' rights or break the law.

Publishing and community instruments

When you mark a beat public, you make it visible to others on the service. When you publish an instrument to the community, you release it under a CC0 1.0 (public domain) dedication — meaning anyone may use those sounds without attribution. Only publish sounds you have the right to release this way.

Instruments you install from the community are governed by that CC0 dedication.

The built-in soundbank

The sounds we provide in f8drare licensed for you to use to make beats within the service. Don't extract or redistribute the raw samples as a standalone library. Beats you create with them are yours to share.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload content that's illegal, infringing, or that you don't have rights to;
  • abuse, harass, or harm others, or upload malicious content;
  • disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • misrepresent who you are or who made a piece of content.

Moderation and termination

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or harm the service or its users. You can stop using f8dr at any time and delete your content.

Disclaimers

f8dris provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your content will always be preserved — keep your own backups of anything important (you can export beats as files).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, f8drand its operators won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or content, arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Continuing to use f8dr after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
