Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026

This policy explains what f8dr collects, why, and the choices you have. We try to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Information we collect

  • Account info.When you sign in we store your email address and a display name. Sign-in uses a one-time email code or Google — we don't store passwords.
  • Profile. A handle, an optional short bio, and an optional avatar you draw or set.
  • Content you create. Beats you save, sounds you record or upload, and instruments you build — including saved version history.
  • Technical data. Basic session information such as IP address and browser/device type, used to keep you signed in and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To run the service — authenticate you, and save, play and share your work.
  • To power community features (public beats, shared instruments, install counts).
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

What's public

Beats you mark public, instruments you publish to the community, and your profile (handle, bio, avatar, public beats) are visible to anyone. Private beats stay private and are only reachable by their unguessable share link. Instruments published to the community are released under a CC0 (public-domain) license — see our Terms.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run f8dr. They handle data only to provide their service to us:

  • Neon — database hosting.
  • Amazon Web Services (S3) — storage for audio you record/upload.
  • Resend — sending one-time sign-in codes.
  • Google — optional sign-in, if you choose it.

Data is processed and stored in the United States.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

You can delete individual beats and instruments at any time in the app. To delete your account and associated data, email legal@f8dr.com. Note that content you published publicly may have been copied or installed by others before deletion.

Children

f8drisn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
